A word about risk

It is important to note that the Funds are not guaranteed by the US government.

Fixed income investments involve interest rate risk, issuer default risk, issuer credit risk and price volatility risk. Funds that invest in bonds may lose value as interest rates rise and an investor may lose capital.

Securities backed by mortgages and other assets often involve different or more acute risks than the risks associated with other types of debt instruments. MBS linked to floating rate loans may exhibit greater price volatility than a fixed rate bond of similar credit quality. With respect to non-agency MBS, there is no direct or indirect government or agency guarantee of payments in pools created by non-government issuers. Non-agency issued MBS are also not subject to the same underwriting requirements for the underlying mortgages that apply to mortgage-linked securities that benefit from a government or agency-sponsored guarantee. the government.

Equity investments involve equity risk and price volatility risk. The value of stocks and other equity securities will change with changes in a company’s financial condition and general market and economic conditions.

The prices and returns of the shares of the funds will fluctuate according to market conditions, currencies and the economic and political climates in which investments are made. Emerging market securities carry special risks, such as less developed or less efficient trading markets, lack of company information and differing auditing and legal standards. Securities markets in emerging countries can be extremely volatile.

The MetWest Flexible Income Fund may use leverage to increase its net income, but such activities involve the risk that, under certain market conditions, the cost of leverage may exceed the return of the fund, thereby reducing the return for shareholders. The use of leverage may cause a Sub-Fund to liquidate portfolio positions where it may not be advantageous to do so to meet its obligations or to meet segregation requirements. This may make a Sub-Fund more volatile, which may increase the risk of investment loss.

As the TCW Global Real Estate Fund focuses its investments in the real estate industry, it may be susceptible to the impact of market, economic, regulatory and other factors affecting the real estate industry and/or local or regional real estate markets, which may cause the value of the Fund to fluctuate more widely than it would in a fund that has invested more widely in various sectors and industries. REITs invested in mortgages or loans may also be indirectly subject to various risks associated with such investments, including, but not limited to, interest rate risk, credit risk and credit risk. securities. p. The value of the Fund’s investments in REITs will decline with a decline in the value of real estate and the general real estate market and local economic conditions. REITs are common investment vehicles that generally invest directly in real estate, mortgages and/or loans secured by real estate. REITs are also subject to very technical and complex provisions under federal tax law.

The investment performance of the TCW Conservative Allocation Fund is influenced by the investment performance of the underlying funds in which the Fund invests. The ability of the Fund to achieve its investment objective depends on the ability of the underlying funds to achieve their investment objectives and the adviser’s decisions regarding the allocation of the Fund’s assets among the underlying funds. There can be no assurance that the investment objective of the Fund or any underlying fund will be achieved. Through its investments in the Underlying Funds, the Fund is subject to the risks of investing in the Underlying Funds. Allocations shown are subject to change.

The Fund’s investments denominated in foreign currencies will lose value if the foreign currency loses value against the US dollar. The prices and returns of the shares of the funds will fluctuate according to market conditions, currencies and the economic and political climates in which investments are made. Securities markets in emerging countries can be extremely volatile.

Past performance is not indicative of future results.
